ROSELAND (dpa-AFX) - Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) reported earnings
for its third quarter that increased from the same period last year and beat
the Street estimates.

The company's earnings totaled $1.18 billion, or $2.88 per share. This compares with $1.04 billion, or $2.51 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, Automatic Data Processing Inc. reported adjusted earnings of
$1.19 billion or $2.88 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $2.78 per share, according
to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude
special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 6.5% to $5.25 billion from $4.93
billion last year.
