WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - T-Mobile US, Inc. (TMUS) announced a profit for its
first quarter that increased from last year and beat the Street estimates.

The company's bottom line came in at $2.37 billion, or $2.00 per share. This
compares with $1.94 billion, or $1.58 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $1.87 per share, according
to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude
special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 3.5% to $16.10 billion from $15.55
billion last year.
