LOWELL (dpa-AFX) - JB Hunt Transport Services Inc. (JBHT) revealed earnings
for first quarter that decreased from last year and missed the Street
estimates.

The company's earnings came in at $127.5 million, or $1.22 per share. This
compares with $197.8 million, or $1.89 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $1.52 per share, according
to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude
special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter fell 9.0% to $2.94 billion from $3.23
billion last year.
