PHILADELPHIA (dpa-AFX) - Urban Outfitters Inc. (URBN) announced a profit for
its fourth quarter that increased from last year but missed the Street
estimates.

The company's bottom line came in at $47.7 million, or $0.50 per share. This
compares with $31.4 million, or $0.34 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Excluding items, Urban Outfitters Inc. reported adjusted earnings of $65.6
million or $0.69 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.74 per share, according
to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude
special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 7.2% to $1.48 billion from $1.38
billion last year.
