LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Prudential Plc (PRU.L, PUK), life and health insurance,
and asset management company, on Monday announced a $2 billion share repurchase,
which will be completed by no later than mid 2026.

Anil Wadhwani, CEO of Prudential, said: 'I am pleased with the progress we
continue to make in executing our strategy, as we drive towards generating
growth in both value and cash returns for shareholders over the long term.'

As part of the move, the company has announced that it will commence the first
$700 million tranche of the $2 billion share buyback program.

In addition, Prudential noted that its Board continues to expect its 2024 annual
dividend to grow in the range of 7 percent to 9 per cent.

The company is scheduled to publish its first-half results on August 28.
