third quarter that increased from last year and beat the Street estimates.

The company's earnings totaled -$61.3 million, or -$0.75 per share. This
compares with -$35.1 million, or -$0.43 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, Myriad Genetics Inc. reported adjusted earnings of -$2.3
million or -$0.03 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn -$0.08 per share, according

special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 22.7% to $191.9 million from $156.4
million last year.
