WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Service Corp. International (SCI) reported a profit
for second quarter that beat the Street estimates.
The company's bottom line came in at $132.19 million, or $0.86 per share. This
compares with $132.67 million, or $0.82 per share, in last year's second
quarter.
Excluding items, Service Corp. International reported adjusted earnings of
$126.9 million or $0.83 per share for the period.
Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.81 per share, according
to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude
special items.
The company's revenue for the quarter rose 1.9% to $1.01 billion from $990.86
million last year.
