WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. (BBW) revealed earnings
for first quarter that decreased from last year and missed the Street
estimates.

The company's earnings totaled $11.46 million, or $0.82 per share. This
compares with $14.61 million, or $0.98 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.92 per share, according
to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude
special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter fell 4.4% to $114.73 million from $120.05
million last year.
