13.02.2024 07:35:30 - dpa-AFX: Macquarie Group Q3 AUM Slips Sequentially

CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Macquarie Group ADR (MQG.AX, MQBKY.PK), an Australian
financial service provider, on Tuesday reported a decline in net profit for the
year to date period and assets under management or AUM for the third-quarter
compared with the second quarter.

For the year to date period, net profit after tax substantially down from last
year. Last year's year to date period included an exceptional third-quarter
result.

For the third-quarter, AUM stood at A$882.5 billion, down one percent from the
second quarter quarter.

Public investments AUM fell two percent to AA535.1 billion, from last quarter,
mainly due to net flows and unfavorable foreign exchange trends, partially
offset by positive market movements.

However, private markets AUM rose one percent to A$347.4 billion, primarily
supported by fund investments and increase in asset valuations, partially offset
by adverse foreign exchange movements.
