WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Resmed Inc (RMD) released earnings for its third
quarter that increased from last year and beat the Street estimates.

The company's bottom line totaled $300.5 million, or $2.04 per share. This
compares with $232.5 million, or $1.58 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, Resmed Inc reported adjusted earnings of $314.4 million or
$2.13 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $1.91 per share, according
to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude
special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 7.2% to $1.197 billion from $1.117
billion last year.
